BLOCK CAPTAINS: Use our new online form to register with the Sheriff's office.

Neighborhood Watch can help you create or formalize safety measures within your "community," ie: those homes you can see on your street and those people you may already have informal agreements with to:

  • "Watch my house, I'll be away" or
  • "Please pick up my mail, paper etc.", or
  • "Let me know if my dog is barking excessively" or
  • "Its been snowing and I'll be away. Please make tracks to my house so that any bad guys will think that the house is occupied."

Neighborhood Watch is a proven crime prevention means. Without neighbors looking out for neighbors, there will never be enough police to protect us.

We can also provide for each other and for outselves if there is an emergency. "The time to get to know your neighbor is well before a big emergency occcurs.

We live in a world of terror and it can hit here too, yes right here in New Mexico. Why? We have two National Labs, three Air Force bases, an army base, a nuclear waste route passes us nearby..etc. etc.

We are also vulnerable to long-term power outages, communications failures and a repeition of the gasoline shortages this region and state and the Country has experienced in the past. So join, or:
